OCTOPUS AND ANIMALS
OCTOPUS AND ANIMALS
Octopus and Animals is a group exhibition featuring works by Oda Schultz and Studio Bovti. The exhibition took place at the Silowerk in Haßmersheim, a former industrial building on the Neckar River.
In her work, Oda explores inner states of psyche and surreal transformation through figurative imagery. The octopus functions as a metaphor rather than a literal motif — a mutable form symbolizing fluid identity, perception, and emotional complexity. Her figures are human and hybrid, their bodies extending into tentacle-like limbs that suggest movement, vulnerability, and constant change.
Influenced by manga, vintage comics, advertising aesthetics, and Japanese subculture, Oda’s works exist between pop, collage, and dreamscape.

Studio Bovti presents the Animal Lights: illuminated sculptures shaped as Dino, Monkey, and Worm. Inspired by childhood memories, these works combine sculptural design with atmospheric light, creating poetic moments between fantasy and spatial experience.
