ABOUT

Oda Schultz works primarily in painting, developing coherent series that explore psychological systems, inner states and structures of control. Her visual language combines figurative elements with surreal and pop-cultural references, using the body as a site where perception, power and transformation intersect.

Across her practice, figures appear fragmented, hybrid or staged, reflecting tensions between visibility and vulnerability, desire and regulation. Rather than illustrating narratives, her works construct situations in which bodies function as metaphors for mental and social processes.

In selected exhibition contexts, her painted figures are extended into sculptural forms using digital production processes, translating two-dimensional imagery into spatial presence. Performative elements and live painting have also been part of her practice, emphasizing process, movement and direct engagement with the audience.

Oda has exhibited internationally and continues to expand her practice across painting, installation and performance.
